Aight, so for my senior schedule, I am taking several AP classes. However, I still have 2 open periods. My school just became an IB school, so I cannot get an IB diploma. However, since I have 2 open periods, I can take these IB classes. Is it worth it to take IB classes, if I cannot get an IB diploma? What would colleges think? Is there a point to it? Thanks!

It is definitely worth it to take the IB Classes.

It def depends on the class!!! like some are a LOT of work and not worth it. For example, Computer Science IB, even SL, the IA is insane!!! I regretted taking it. Chem, on the other hand, would be beneficial. You be the judge. Or PM me lol

i think it depends more on the teacher…there are some IB teachers at my school who aren’t that great, and there are some who are outstanding
keep in mind though that colleges get a copy of your transcript, and it still looks good if you have IB classes on there :D

Yes, it’s worth it.

Without question, do it.

id say sure, why not?

im taking IB philosophy next year but not taking an exam.

taking an IB class for which you can’t take the exam demonstrates that you understand the concept and the spirit of academic challenge; that it is meant to teach you things and not merely to get you in to college.
