Hello,

I am moving to a new school next year that is completely IB and I am new to the whole concept. I am trying to pick my courses now, but am having a difficult time.

So far I have chosen:

English A Language and Literature
Economics HL
French B SL

I love all of the sciences but the school policy only allows for two. I am torn between Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I would like to try to take two at HL, if I am able to handle the workload.

I am also not sure if I should take Mathematics at HL or SL. Philosophy and visual arts seem so interesting but I don't think I have room.

Because I am passionate about sciences, I am hoping to pursue that in university whether it is general sciences, engineering or medicine. I also like business a lot too. I plan on applying to both the US and the UK.

Do you have any suggestions as to my course selection? Or any general advice for someone that is already terrified of IB??

Thanks so much!
