IB courses

i was talking to a friend the other day, who said that columbia looks more highly upon AP courses than IB courses. this worried me, because my school only offers IB courses.
is this true? because it sounds absolutely rediculous. im so worried now about thursday! my aunt and uncle are coming over that night and are expecting that i get in, but now im second guessing my chances!!

don't worry..my school offers neither AP nor IB courses...Just believe the admission office, they are experiecned and will make a fair decisions..

Best of luck to you.Wish you can find the congratulation letter from Columbia soon

no one other than AO can give you an accurate answer on that one (even AO'll ujst say what violaina said)

but I can tell you IBers have sooo much easier of a time getting the credits than AP=p, get 6/7 on all your HLs and there's a free 16 credits

Are you kidding me?
It's so much more difficult for IB students to accrue credits

If you're in the IB program, you have to take at least 2 of your classes, and in some case 3 of them at the Standard Level (which is equivalent to an AP course in both curriculum and duration) however, college credit isn't given for Standard Level IB courses

College credit is only given for 6/7s on HL exams, most of which are two-year courses and accordingly, more difficult than its comparable AP course
