on Cornell's website they don't list very many IB classes for which they give credit, but they give credit for 4's and 5's on comprable AP exams. do you know if they're willing to work with students who score highly on IB exams to get them credit. i dont really want to take AP tests in May while I'm also taking IB exams. by the way, I was admitted to CAS, if that makes any difference

I was in your situation, luckily my university gave me credit for a couple of them. You might want to look at other options for getting credit such as Clep Test, or credit by examination. I took physics credit by exam and easily got the requirement for credit. In my experience these tests have relativity flexible test dates.

Most colleges are in a similar position when you compare AP and IB.

[Credit and Placement](http://as.cornell.edu/information/orientation/credit.cfm)

If you look at it, you can only get credit for IB HL which means you are allowed 4 HL credits at the most. Since they eliminate foreign language from this list, you lose one if you are doing a language.

Look through the APs and see if you can take any to get you credit. You do have lots of time. IB diploma with high scores won’t get you anywhere since you seem committed to Cornell and so it is best to maximize your credits.
