IB Credits & the UC application

Hey all,
I've got a questions about IB Credit and the UC apps. Here's the deal:

I took IB English and scored 5, so I know that I'll get credit at the UC-level.

The dean of the English department at my CCC awarded me credit/a "waiver" for me to not have to take English 100. So my counselor signs off on it and I take English 110 in the spring and got an A.

The thing is, my CCC can't put that I got credit for English 100 from IB since their policies for IB Credit aren't finalized.

My question: I know there's an AP/IB portion of the UC applications that ask for my exams. But since my CCC gave me credit for English 100 (but not on my transcript yet), how can I say that I've received credit for it? I didn't take English 100 but got credit through IB at the community college level.

Should I take English 100 just to be safe? Or the UC admissions officers know that I've fulfilled English 100 through IB, and I don't need to say that my community college gave me credit.

Sorry--my question is EXTREMELY loaded and only a minority of students took IB (a minority of minorities, so to speak).

But if you have been in a similar situation, please please please let me know.

Thanks

why don’t you take a look at the UC application yourself, it’s pretty simple.
just write it in in the test score area just as you would for APs and don’t worry so much.

you dont have to take it, you are getting credit for it from your CC but not units (the same thing happened to me with my IB Spanish exam score) if you note in your application that you are using the exam score to fulfill the requirement it works out fine :)

GOOD LUCK!
