So I'm in my senior year, and Year 2 of IB Diploma.
I have taken the SAT Reasoning test and I got a 1880, I am predicted a 35-38 for my IB score.
I'm not planning to take any SAT Subject tests... which schools are there that do not value the subject tests so much for IB students, or in general?

Most schools use subject tests for admission and IB scores for placement - so make sure you look into that.

The University of Tulsa don’t use subject tests and they value the IB quite a lot. It’s a good school as well :)

The SATIIs are used only by a relatively small number of colleges, mainly private colleges that are among the top 25 LAC and national universities.

IB scores are used by colleges for course placement in college.

Thank you!

So if I am considering a school where SAT IIs are optional, for example, UIUC, would my IB diploma make up for that?
And what are my chances if i apply to a school where SAT IIs are usually required but instead I have my IB Diploma?

If the site says the school requires SAT IIs and you don’t submit them, your chances are 0%.

do not depend on your IB scores to get you any sort of recognition. US schools are stupid like that and don’t really care about them.

you need to take a few subject tests.

Well, I would take some subject tests but with the IB subjects I’m taking, I’m not sure which I could take and do well on.
My courses are HL Psychology, art, and Design Technology, and at SL I’m taking English A1, French B and Math.

I was originally thinking of taking Math 1 and French… but I’m not sure if I’d do well.
Any recommendations from IB-ers out there?
