IB Diploma students....

I'm disappointed in my Art SL class. I wonder if I should try to transfer into biology?

someone please anwser my ivy league IB checking grades question!

I'm pretty sure you have to send scores when you get them, but unless you get 3s on everything I honestly don't think that they'll rescind their offers of admission.

yeh they do want you to send.problem is IB only allows u to send to one US school and only if you get an offer of admission

gocollege what r ur predicted's? I got all 6's and either one or two 7's. Is that IVY standards?

I don't believe the Ivies will rescind acceptance unless you failed all the IB exams and got WAY lower than what you were expected to have.

A friend of mine got 43 and she's in UPenn. Her predicted was 41. Go, her! I'd say At the minimum, a predicted of 37/38 is Ivy League standard but it might also depend on WHICH subjects you took as Highers and Standards...

For some reason i wasn't allowed to see my predicted's and had to sneakily drag them out of my teachers. Some of them told me and others would only hint. Like the econ teacher won't tell me and neither will the math one. It's pointless.....I mean why is it this huge secret??

I believe they are not supposed to tell you. Our school goes by the book and the scores are not common knowledge.

ya but u can kinda drag them out of the teachers if u tryyy

my grades on the report are my predicted

if you all all of them up +-3 points is your predicted

anyaone here sending IGCSE or any pre-college preparatory program grades?

Thanks

I am. IGCSE grades, on that sheet of paper gotten. It's not "officially stamped" or anything, but it shows my 10th grade marks better than the school report (thought of course that's included on transcript).

Hl : Math Chem Physics
Sl : English A-2 Econ

So the question is: Do they ask for your final IB grades or NOT?

I've officially transferred out of art and into bio. My final course list is as follows:

IB Chem HL
IB English A1 HL
IB French A1 HL
IB Mathematics SL
IB History SL
IB Biology SL
Journalism
Theory of Knowledge

Such a relief.

Do they ask for your final IB grades or NOT?

YES!!! they do.....you donj't spend two years preping over nothing..

my ib coordinator went out of her way so that i wont know my predicted scores lol

thisyearsgirl, your subject list is flawed... You have two group 6 subjects (extra Group 1, extra Group 4) and no Group 2 subjects.

Is that allowed?

Yes you are allowed.
Firstly, you do not necessarily need to do any subjects under the group 6 category (as in arts, music, etc). you can choose a subject of your choice, and therefore, many people double up in science (I`m doing bio and chem as well) , a social science (like history and econ for example), or an extra language.

thisyearsgirl is also pursuing the bilingual diploma by taking 2 A languages. therefore, you do not necessarily need to do a language B for your group 2- it can be at any level (A1, A2, B, etc)
