IB Discussion...

I read somewhere that you need at least 40/45 for a chance to get into Ivies and Oxbridge???

Is this true??? And is there some more reliable statistics as in an avg. score for each ivy school???

i know the relative stupidity of the question but seeing as I have to decide pretty soon whether or not to do Ib or A-lvl, I want to know the relative marks that I need with IB...

Btw, Im a student in boarding school in England from Singapore//Indonesia... and the weather flippn sux here..

There is unusually no minimum IB score for applying to US universities. For some uni. IB is treated as AP.

For Oxford, you have to get minimum of 776 in higher subjects and 38 overall. However, there is no guarantee to get in even if you’ve got these scores.

In IB, you study 6 subjects with 3 higher level and 3 standard level, so it is quite well-rounded. For A-Level, you take 3 subjects, so it is more advanced.
