Hahaha, don't really care what the scores are (not too important in admission process), just glad I passed because it would suck if I failed. lol

I got my diploma, that's all I care about :).

They out for juniors too? Did you guys just contact the IB coordinator or were the scores mailed to you?

English - HL - 5
Spanish - SL - 5
History/Americas - HL - 5
Biology - HL - 4
Math Studies - SL - 7
Psychology - SL - 4
Extended Essay - oops - D

Diploma: Awarded 30 points

Jakor, the scores are online...you should have gotten a sheet that gave you a "Personal code" and a PIN. If you've lost that (or didn't get it, I guess), then you have to ask your IB coordinator.
I don't know for sure if they're out for juniors (or, non-diploma people in general) yet, though since some people have posted only a couple scores, I would assume they are.

A lot schools take all 6 examen in one year
spanish a1 HL- 5, expected it, my essays suckked da big balls
english a2 HL- 6, expected a 7, oh well
physics sl- 6, a lot better than expected
math HL- 5, considering I basically didn't know calculus ( we had to cover all of it in like a month) I did pretty well. I also slacked off the last semester ( didn't do homeworks, barely reviewed for a test, I didn't even really study for the IB one)
business and management sl- 6, damn it I though I had a 7
econ hl- 7, and the only one I really care about because I want to skip micro and macro in college ( I also want to major in econ, so I guess its a good indicator haha)

2007 Chemistry HL: 6
2007 English A1 HL: 6

2006 Geography SL: 5
History EE: B
TOK: A

Total: 38 points, diploma awarded

I was never expecting that high a total...I am so excited that I got a 6 in English so I won't have to take it in college. And an A in TOK! That was a surprise :D

2007 French SL 7
2007 Psychology SL 5
Did anyone take AP exams as well as IB exams? I'm going to say that AP is much easier than IB. Maybe it's just because writing isn't my forte and I rock out with straightforward multiple choice type questions....yea I studied for one night for AP psych (a lot of the info was different, imo) and used common sense/bs techniques for most of the test and got a 5/5. Not quite sure what happened on IB, I thought the essays were fairly straightforward. Maybe having to cut 700 words out of my IA had someting to do with it. Erg the IB word limits kill me....
Alright that's the end of my rant, I was just a little upset by my psych score.
Is it true that 4/5 is only considered passing (like a 3 equivalent on the AP....although I'm not sure why I care considering I got a 5 on the AP) and 6/7 are considered "good"? Approx. what percentage of pple get 7?6?
OK thanks, sorry for being a tad test-score obsessive. Congratulations to everybody who's finished! I am not looking forward to first semester senior year of IB....

I think it depends on the test...I took AP Calc BC this year, which is WAY harder than Math SL. Imo the other ones I've taken (AP World, Euro, US history, English Lang/Lit, and Chem) were comparable in difficulty to the IB exams; IB is just more writing.

For college credit, it again depends on the IB test for what is considered "good." You can only get credit for HLs, and then usually that's for 5+, sometimes you need a 6 or 7, depending on the course (the only exception I've seen is that some colleges take 4 on the HL language exams, not including English).

My D just had 2 this year (junior) and got 6 on bio sl and 6 on math sl, seems diff schools have different schedules, she also had 3 AP classes this year, got 4 on latin lit, chem and ush. IB is fairly new at her school, they don't even offer a lot of the class's I have seen posted here! I guess the program will grow with time,

7 on econ SL
7 on math SL (methods)

:)

In regard to AP and IB hardness...it really varies. While I think comparing math SL and Calc BC is a bit strange...why did you take BC?? SL is even easier than AB. But HL is harder than BC, so...
Psychology, though, is probably the easiest AP test, and I definitely agree that that's one where AP is easier. As a very gross rule of thumb, though, I think SL<AP<HL.

That's weird, I'm a rising senior and I didn't get anything regarding the scores in the mail, at school, or anywhere....

I got a paper from my IB coordinator that gave me an ID number and password to access them online.

Economics EE: C
TOK: B

Total: 41 points...

Don't know what happened for my 2 essays (EE & ToK)... I thought I wrote well...

Also, Chem HL papers were ridiculously easy, I guess I messed up in the submitted lab reports.. Math HL was just a TRAIN WRECK, glad I got my 6 there... yay for IB credits in college!

I took BC because I needed the credit for college, and I dislike math so I didn't want to take it again. Plus my math teacher said for architecture you definitely needed BC (which it turns out I didn't lol).

in your schools, are you guys allowed to choose which HL's you guys want to take? my school is so small that we don't even have a choice. :(
