IB exams

They suck

discuss/rant/etc

Yeah, they do. Except if you’ve gotten into college already. Then, they’re chill and in some cases, they’re fun!

i’ve gotten/committed to college, didn’t even apply outside the US. my scores will be meaningless

they still suck. especially math HL.

Aaah, SL Math <3

I don’t know, the classes I take are really fun, for the most part. Bio’s gonna be a pain, but the others’ll be cool. I only have one official exam this year too, so relative peace.

truthfully, I only care to bring my school pride. it’s their first year in the IB program, so if 5-6 out of the 60 kids got 40+, it’d be sweet. so I guess the pressure is self-imposed.

I like my subjects, but I could never see the exams as “fun.” I really enjoy tests like the AMC and AIME. Math HL? not so much. I’d say the math exam is the most fun out of all of them, but the pressure to do well makes it distinctly un-fun.

I’m a junior so I only had Psychology which wasn’t so bad. Next year is going to kill me especially since it’s during lacrosse season.
@theyeaman I can’t imagine taking HL Math. That must suck.

Paper 1 wasn’t so bad actually. I could see myself getting 90-100 out of the 120 marks, which most years is good enough for a 7. just 2 more to go and then smooth sailing…

I know half the world will have mistaken the brackets on one of them for absolute value brackets instead of modulus brackets and that makes me chuckle. Because both methods gave you valid answers apparently.
