IB, Full or Partial?

Well currently I'm in full IB, my marks aren't too great and I was wondering if anyone could give me their thoughts.
I am signed up to take French next semester, the thing is I don't know if I want to take it or not. I'm worried that it will bring my overall average down even more. My teacher told me that the universities wont look at my French marks for the programs I'm looking in to. I am also worried that even if I take the course the stress will cause me to do poorly in other classes, which I really do need to do well in. Should I take French for the credits and for the sake of still being a full IB student and take my chance with the stress or should I just drop it?

Talk to ur parents and friends about it. See if it is really worth your time and effort to continue with full IB, cuz it gets really tough 2nd semester junior and 1st semester senior year with extended essays, world lit papers, internal assessments and the rest. The diploma should be something the you look back on and see something good put into it, not just for the sake of going through IB.

Thanks for responding. I dropped French; things should be easier now... I hope.
