did you guys really find paper 2 to be that hard? i thought it really wasnt that bad…even the math induction proof with the matrices was easy (and the section B questions were pretty easy as a whole, unlike paper 1’s section b). paper 1 was kinda tough (i know i got at least a 5, maybe a 6), but i thought paper 2 was relatively easy (I am sure I got a 7 on it)…
that question on paper 1 all about f(x+y)=f(x)f(y) was the most confusing thing ever though.

and i dont know what you are talking about regarding ibh math being death - nothing trumps the impossibility of ibh chemistry…

hmmm I don’t remeber a question on induction prooft with matrices… are you TZ0, TZ1 or TZ2?

spangie, I’m tz2, and I totally agree with you. Paper 1 = piece of cake. Paper 2 = unholy *%@$. Yeah, there were no inducion with matrices questions on p.2. I kinda thought that there would be one, because they always have a big question on matrices, or lines and space, or calculus at the end. It was trig. Really bad trig. Really huuuuhhh? trig. I would have taken calculus, lines, planes, matrices; anything over that paper. I did love paper 1, though; full of complex numbers and lines and planes :D

omg. i soooo regret taking math hl now. someone plz shoot me. IM SO SCARED!!!

Hey… I’m new to this forum… but yeah just sat the Nov 09 paper 1 today. It was ridiculous. Doubt it was any better than May 09. I think the guys in the 2008 sessions had it way easier.

Anyone taking the test this year?

Two weeks left!!!

lol Next year. Next year.

Damn this is a nightmare story.

lol. I’m expecting a 7.

I’m shooting for a 5 or 6, though I probably will get a 4…

Bump… Paper 1 is tomorrow!

Have fun.

Practicing on paper 1s.

Okay guys just to clarify has anyone else like been frantically asking their teachers if they’re still going to pass if they fail HL maths? coz after paper 1 its not looking good to be honest.
