IB Predicted Grades Required for Stanford?

Are IB Predicted Grades required for IB diploma candidates to apply to Stanford? I don’t go to an IB school so teachers don’t really do predicted grades unless a student explicitly asks (usually only if they’re applying to international schools). I know of many classmates who applied to Stanford (one was deferred a few days ago) who did not send them in. I got all As/A+s in these classes-would these translate to 6/7?

How do you have IB courses if you don’t go to an IB school? And how your school chooses to grade and how the IB scores you may differ quite a bit.

No, Stanford just wants your grades, not predicted scores. And definitely not predicted scores from someone who doesn’t know how to predict them!

They offer all the IB courses but it’s not a formal IB school (it’s a regular public school). I know that the teachers have predicted them in the past, but I don’t want to ask them to do anything if it’s not required. I found something on Stanford’s website that seems like they want predicted scores (second to last paragraph): https://admission.stanford.edu/apply/selection/prepare.html

Speak to your school’s IB DP coordinator, since the Stanford website says they are required for DP candidates. They will either be provided by the school, or an appropriate admin will tell Stanford why they are not being provided. It’s probably not their first rodeo with kids applying to Stanford or peer schools.
