IB Problem: Chem SL

So our teachers keep all of our work/labs to use for IB later... but this year my Chem teacher tells me that he lost all my labs and that I am basically screwed. I don't want to lose my diploma because of this. What are the minimum requirements to fulfill the requirements for the Chem SL Area and still earn a 7?

he lost it???!!! that's not ur fault. as long as you lab portfolio is not one of those sent in for moderation, it's not a problem, and if it is, you teacher can probably explain it to the IBO and then substitute it with someone else's.

It is his fault, really, that's horrible of him.
BUT.
Do you have them typed on your computer?
I believe you need atleast 40 hours documented (that includes about 10 hours of group IV lab) to meet the requirement. That's alot to do, but it's doable, especially if you can recall some of the more recent ones and get those back out (or if you have them typed).

What you actually send to IBO are just your best 2 in each category of the grading scale, Planning (a), Planning (b), etc. So if the rest are documented, you can just get the best ones into IBO and not worry about the others, i guess.

Also, if you took another IB science SL course last year, you dont' have to get the Chemistry credit. SL doesn't give you college credit anyway, it's just a requirement for the diploma.

The credit I am fine with... it's just the diploma aspect.
