Hi-
I was wondering how your school (or most schools) weight gpas Particularly in the International Baccalaureate Program. Im pretty sure AP classes are weighted like this:

A- 5.0
B- 4.0
etc...

But does the IB program do it the same way? What about weighting the gpa for Honors course in IB (Pre-IB classes)? Thanks.

Yes, the IB program does weight classes the way you thought, but not for "pre-IB or Honor's classes"

So it does it the same way as AP? Ok that clears things up. So you dont get any extra points for honors classes? Or would it be like this-
A- 4.5
B- 3.5

at my school, IB is weighted
A-6.0
B-4.5

At my school, the PIB classes and honor classes are weighted that way. Except a Bn is like 3.8 or something. Maybe its lower...idk

At my school we do grades out of 100pts, and Honors/AP courses are weighted 10%, so 90%=>99%

In my school is like this:

Honors = Pre Ib

A= 5

AP = IB

A = 6

@ my school we have no IBs
just AP
what is the difference though

Our school weighs AP and IB the same way.

A - 5.0
B - 4.0

Honors is only weighted junior and senior year.

^^^^^anyone want to answear my question^^^^

There isn't much difference between AP and IB, for the most part the difficulty is comparable. There are a few differences in terms of testing and IB diploma and what not.
