Ok this is my schedule as of right now:
English HL
Physics HL
Math HL
Spanish HL
Visual Art SL
History HL

My school only offers Spanish HL and ab initio German SL. I have taken Spanish for four years now, this will be my fifth year. I currently have 5 HLs, but I only want to take 4 HLs. Would you suggest that I take German SL or take the Spanish HL class for two years but take the Spanish B SL test? The benefit of taking the Spanish HL class is that I can potentially garner an extra GPA point, but a drawback is that I am taking an HL course load for an SL test. Is that reasonably worth it, considering that I already have 4? Please answer, if I need to change my schedule, I need to do it as soon as possible.

If it helps, I want to major in Biology and I am a non-native speaker in Spanish.

That seems like a lot of HLs! At my D’s school they are only allowed to take 3 HLs at one time.
I would take the HLs in what interests you most, and in the courses you feel you are strong in. I don’t think I’d do it for an extra GPA point if you aren’t comfortable with it. That could backfire on you.
You might just talk to the teacher about the HL class/SL test issue.
Are you truly interested in taking german, or would you be doing it primarily to avoid taking the HL spanish? That might be the most important factor.

@shoboemom I think that any languages and all languages are valuable assets to learn. So I am basically interested in every foreign language. However, yes I would be taking german to avoid taking HL spanish. But I would also not be taking HL spanish because I think I would have too heavy a load which makes german my only option. The thing is, I love the Spanish language, but with my course load already, I don’t know if I can take it.
