IB Psychology vs. IB History - Which one's more favored by the top-tier colleges?

Choice 1:
Taking IB Psychology and getting a better GPA.

Choice 2:
Taking IB History and getting a lower GPA but showing that you've taken the more "established" and "traditional" subject.

I'm interested in both subjects. There are many people taking Psych at our school and getting A's. There are relatively fewer people taking because it's hard but the teacher is really good.

Do the colleges look at the subjects or do they care more about the GPA?

Take whatever you're more interested in. American schools don't care about IB scores. They just want SAT scores and grades in school.

History is definitely more useful and better than pschology.

YOU, how come you say that ? I'm with Seed here, take whatever you want.

"showing that you've taken the more "established" and "traditional" subject."

They won't see that, trust me. They'll see the lower GPA.

Thanks guys. Your last post especially helped, S33D. I needed a definite answer like that. ;)
