For many of the colleges I’m looking at, they recommend 2+ years of a foreign language. I’m doing spanish and I had a very hard time with it and do not enjoy the language at all. However, I am fluent and can read/write/speak in Russian. However, there are no AP or SAT2 tests in Russian, but I just read that there is an IB Russian exam. Would it be possible for someone who is not enrolled in IB to take the exam to show proficiency? I know many native Spanish speakers take the AP test and score 4/5 and get the credits, so would it be possible for someone who speaks Russian to do that as well? I heard that there is a AP Russian Prototype test, but I don’t know if it officially counts for anything and exempts the 2+ requirement. Thanks!
Oooo I am interested in the answer to this question as well
From my own school, anyways, you gotta take the class equivalent of the IB test to actually take it. Don’t take my word for it, make sure to check with a counselor or the IB website.
I would email the IB director at your school
@iubaccounting There is no IB program in my school.
then no, you can’t just randomly take an IB class.
