Hi!
I am a full IB student (Diploma Candidate) taking HL English, HL Visual Art and HL Business & Management at a small private school. I am also taking SL Math II, SL Spanish II and I am in a mixed HL/SL Biology class (but enrolled as a SL Bio student). My GPA unweighted is 3.22 which is quite low but I can attribute this to difficulty in my freshman year math and current Visual Arts course which is extremely rigorous and I plan on moving my GPA up a bit with good performance at the beginning of this senior year. I have also heard that taking full IB adds a full point to one's GPA which would make it 4.22 weighted I guess. I was in the 94th percentile for PSAT and though I have not received my SAT scores back, I plan on receiving a decent score. I will also be taking the ACTs next month and SAT IIs.

I am the president of my school's Environmental Club and I am working outside of school with a company on an ethical and ecologically sustainable lifestyle company. I am in charge of brand development and I consult on marketing strategy for the company. Additionally, I am beginning an internship at a Private Equity firm for the rest of the school year. I am also a member of my school's Forum Club, which is a weekly meeting of students discussing important social and political issues. I am a member of my school's Economics Club where students analyze market trends. During my junior year, I took part in a business development program lead by Babson College in which students worked in teams and eventually presented business plans and ideas to my school's board of trustees and faculty from Babson. In the past, I have worked at several retail establishments giving me some great background knowledge in sales and I built a successful blog that amassed over 35,000 readers and covered philanthropic and creative events in my city during my freshman and sophomore years in high school. I am also creative director and chief photographer for my school's yearbook and during my junior year, I was Editor-in-chief of the school magazine.
