Are these suitable for getting accepted into UC colleges?
And I want to be a Heart Surgeon, are there any other colleges in California that are recommendable?
Thank you for reading such a bad discussion
At the end of your Junior year, calculate your weighted (capped) UC GPA and then use the calculator to calculate your weighted (uncapped) UC GPA (uncapped UC GPA has no limit on Honors points). UCLA and UCB will use both UC GPA’s. Your current posted Stats are competitive for all the UC’s. If you plan to go into the Medical field, you might want to shadow an MD this summer unless you have already done this as part of your hospital volunteering. Good Luck and below is the link for the GPA calculator.
Hey there fellow IB student! I don’t find a lot of IBs around here and you’re the first one I’ve seen
- Your GPA is good
- Your SAT is good, but it can improve. Get it to a 2200 and you should be safe
- I think that sports is your strong suit and you have a variety of clubs. Volunteer hours are good
- I think you might wanna throw a little more diversity into your clubs. They all seem academic and don’t really pertain to what you want to do. From your clubs I just see a girl that volunteers at the hospital (which many do), likes sports, and is good at academics. No this isn’t a bad thing - it’s great! But you could do more things that just sorta maybe show your hobbies. Maybe you’re really passionate about the environment and your school has some club for that
- Good luck!
Thank you very much!!
