Ib vs ap vs magnet

Hi,

Yes again, the question comes up in the forum. What is better? IB or AP? But I add something to this. In my district we have a program offered by the local CC, its a "Magnet HS" where all you do is take classes at the CC and you graduate High School with your HSDeploma and your AA, AS or AAS. All have high rigour. I am aiming for an IVY or top tier school, looking at Linguistics right now. What are your opinions? Personal experiences would be awesome.

The AP vs IB discussion has been going on for years. Use the search for that. In your situation, I’d go with the magnet. You’re not gonna get more than 60 credits out of a college with either IB or AP.

ALL classes at CC?

Magnet all the way. Why don’t I ever get these opportunities?

that’s what I was thinking :(

magnet sounds best @OP. take my advice w/ a grain of salt though. I’m not an expert.

Your entire premise is wrong. IB and AP are not mutually exclusive. One can be in IB and take AP courses. One can take AP courses and be in IB.
