For anyone that does IB and goes to a school that calculates the GPA, can you please explain the system to me.

For example, what letter grade does 7 or a 6 correspond to, and what respective grade point (weighted and unweighted) do they correspond to?

It would be very helpful if you could. It would be even better if you knew this info for IGCSEs! :D

Hey! Glad to see someone who attends international school, I do the same :D

IGCSE - I would guess A is 4.00, A+ is 4.33. Overall, most of the A’s are enough to show your academic competence for top schools.

IB - 7 is equal to A* = 4.33
6 is equal to A = 4.00

Anyway, it is really hard to explain to others here, that there are schools where it’s only IB grades what they give us, no usual GPA.

Ahaha thanks. I was enquiring because I saw some schools that use 4.3 for a 7 in IB while others that use 5.

my school uses a 4.5
