Dude, SAT scores were HUGE for me. I have a 1600 and a 2400 which were actually a major topic of discussion in two of my interviews. I'm quite certain my top board scores helped me land some offers.

Really? Was this for BB banks?

Shot they will take a 3.2 if you went to a top school. Typically you have to high a GPA even if you attended a top school. I do not understand this because I know I can do the work just as well as someone who went to a good school. I was not able to afford the top schools, even with aid.

pulary, you should have taken out loans like most of us. financial aid + parents didn't come close yo my tuition, but I realized I needed to go to a top school in order to have a shot.

dpa38d2u, exactly, haha. A search of investment banking on Wikipedia can lead you to the websites of various IBs that could easily answer this question. I'm guessing that the OP isn't even in college yet, and, like you said, wouldn't have a clue what investment banking is and would be completely lost as soon as you threw out any sort of market lingo (even something completely elementary like "IPO" haha). Seriously, people, there are TONS of websites that will give you basic information like this.
