Hi all,

Do you know when I can start applying for ibanking summer analyst positions for this upcoming Summer?

Also, would I have to contact individuals in my target firms or just send a cover+resume to HR?

Thanks,

have you looked at their web sites?

yes - the banks that I've looked at don't have any summer analyst openings on their websites. Morgan Stanley had one, but only in Asia.

I don't think I missed any deadlines, but I wonder if / when one could start applying.

Traditional Route for BB Investment Banking SA:

Resume Drop in January

Interviews in late January/February

Notification late February/early March

Heres a program that you can do if you want a summer internship next summer.

The Joseph A. Forgione Development School for Youth
http://www.allstars.org/programs/dsy.html

The program is at least 14 weeks long starting from Febraury if you're doing the fall semester. After graduation they place all the graduates in paid summer internships in firms such as Citigroup, Ernst & Young, Merill Lynch, Ann Taylor etc.

$12 an hour. Sweet huh?
