That list sort of discourages me from applying to Dartmouth...

DON'T BE DISCOURAGED!

Dartmouth is a GREAT SCHOOL. C'mon you KNOW it.......

Dude chillax the GS CEO is a Dmouth grad if you need evidence.

Citigroup's CEO is a USC grad.

Why doesn't CSFB recruit from UChicago, Northwestern and UVA?

my friend in Howard University's School of Business just finished up his freshman year and has an internship at Merrill Lynch in NYC making madddd cash...Hopefully I will be able to do that next year...I am going to be in the honors program at Howard's B-school.

jp, citigroup, and lazard all recruit actively at USC campus. if they recruit at USC, im sur ethey recruit at a lot of other schools. it wont make sense to hold prejudice against schools not on those lists.

well i guess this upcoming year they aren't actively recruting at USC because these are the lists of the schools they are visiting to conduct interviews, give info sessions, etc.

come on lets not have a ****ing contest.

http://careers.usc.edu/cgi-bin/calendar/calendar.pl?calendar=Profiles&month=1

goldman sachs, Ernst Young, pricewaterhousecoopers, merril lynch, jp morgan, and bain co. all have info sessions at USC. and that was in Jan. Citi group came in feb. Goldman sachs came twice. mind you, these session are specificly targeted towards undergrads.

come back and check in fall, when most of the bulge bracket comes.

Are there any major Ibanks that recruit at UCLA besides citigroup?

probably. you could always come to USC, and whore yourself. then go back and tell all your friends. just kidding.

the banks that come to USC probably go to ucla. ucla's career center is not as well-connected as USC's. this is first hand knowldge; my cousin just fininshed his MBA at UCLA-Anderson and i hung out there on my free time. in fact, my cousin would hang out at USC's career center more than i did. ucla's career center doesnt do a good job of making sure students know who comes and when they do come to recruit. youll have to work hard to find that out.

and again dont get discouarged when you see this post.

Thanks for the input about UCLA's career center, MrTrojanMan...I'll definitely keep it in mind.

whats the big popularity with howard? from what im seeing at admissions stats, its insanely easy to get into, if your black. is having howard on that list a way to diversify the iBanking community, or does howard actually have a decent biz school?

Average GPA: 3.20
Average SAT: 1082

Blacks give them a better public image, its as simple as that.

id hate to have to live in a world where whenever i see a successful black man i ask myself if he got there because of AA or because of hard work and talent :) o wait. :(

To be honest, most people just need an explanation for when they see a successful black man. Some find it hard to just say, oh look, there goes a successful black man.
