I anyone else having trouble getting info about the USC IBCE program? I was accepted to the university and applied to the IBCE cohort program before the deadline of March 15th. This involved writing several essays and producing a personal video. The website says rolling decisions would start at the end of March. I called on April 1st and was told that the emails would go out 'any day now.' I explained that I was going to be on campus for admitted students day on April 5th and they said I would know before then; if I didn't I could ask one of the counselors and I could get my answer verbally. I asked Mackenzie King at the event and she said Dr. Hudgens decided a personal interview was needed. I scheduled and participated in the phone interview (which was not not original requirement of the application, BTW) and was informed that I would hear within a week. A week passed, I called and was told definitely by the end of that week (yesterday). I have exactly 11 days to deposit for a place in the fall. USC was my first choice but I have my doubts since this situation has been mishandled so badly. If they cannot get a simple yes or no out in a timely manner, how can I count on them to get me through a Chinese university? What have your experiences been?
