IBDP or A levels?

I'm going to be doing my 11th & 12 grade now, and have no idea whether to do A levels or IBDP...I love to learn new things, and from that perspective, IBDP is fitting, but if i take A levels, I plan to take 8 subjects...considering this, which board should I opt for?? And which is more rigorous... (Keep in mind, a levels means 8 subjects), Also, which one will an Ivy league prefer, 8 subjected A level, or IBDP??
I'd really appreciate the help!! (Have been going beserk! :P)

Oh and my EC’s include art & piano, plus i do social work independently, so CAS wont matter much in IBDP (tho i havent taken part in any sports)

I went IBDP and I can assure you that 6 IB classes plus ToK and Extended Essay are equal to 8 A-Levels or 8 AP classes in terms of rigor. Just stay away from the “soft” courses (IB Math Studies SL comes to mind). As far as I know, colleges don’t prefer one over the other.

oh ok, thanks
But does IBDP leave you time to pursue other things??

As an IB student myself I must say that I am biased towards saying that the IB program is much (MUCH) better!!

TOK, EE and all those IA’S = more than AP can ever give you.
The only bad side is that full IB does not leave many people room for fun classes or non-IB classes…

IB forces you to do a bunch a stuff that is really good in the long run. My BFF does AP and loves it but she doed not get the well roundedness that IB gives.

So IB all the way!!!

and ouch! I love my math studies class. Math studies sl is meant for people who have no plans of studying a math or science in college. So if you want to do jounralism, law, history, a language, art (maybe…), then do not take an HL or reg math sl class.
