Icahn Scholars Program

I just wanted to create a thread for those who have applied for the Icahn Scholarship ;) The deadline was last Thursday, and I just wanted to share thoughts. Personally, it sounds like a dream come true for those selected, and I hope that my application really depicted myself (by the way, some of those questions...wow! I really fumbled with the answers.)

For those of you who don't know, the Icahn Scholars Program was founded in 1997. It's aimed to give qualified students who require full tuition more opportunities; one of them is being able to attend Choate Rosemary Hall.

Bump? Interested to see opinions on Icahn.

Bump bump bump bump bumpity bump bump.

212 views and no reply? That’s just *great…*By the way, does one have to participate in an interview for the Icahn Scholars Program?

Because I joined CC late, if you see. I joined on January 12-which was already after the deadline. Sorry if it caused hassle!

Did anyone else get a postcard from Julie Goodyear? I was just wondering whether everyone got one. It was such a sweet gesture, and if she wrote one for everyone, she must be really dedicated!

@17ayou: When did you get it? What did it say? And did she follow up with any other communication? (if you don’t mind me asking)

I got it in the middle of January after I submitted my application, and it was some comments about what I wrote. She hasn’t contacted me again so far, so I’m just holding on until March 9th :)

Aren’t we all? I applied for the program, but am skeptical about whether or not I’ll be accepted; I haven’t gotten any postcards like you have! They sound really nice; Ms. Goodyear really seems to like her job; she’s quite dedicated.

Good luck! :D

@GoldenRatio were you accepted into the program?

@17ayou: Nope, but I did get enough financial aid to attend !!! You?
