So I've used iChat to video chat with my girlfriend a few times, and it seems like it uses a good amount of bandwidth. I checked NUBB and it's been updated pretty far beyond the date of the first one, and that isn't showing up. I figure an hour of video chat would be a pretty significant amount, definitely more than the 200MB office update I downloaded, but that's the top conversation listed.

Is there some way that iChat isn't counted in the internet usage? Or is it probably just not showing up yet? I'm trying to gauge about how much it uses and therefore about how often I can do it and still stay under the 10gig/month limit, but if it's not showing up...

well a) it’s been upgraded to 15 GB/month, b) Video Chat should not use a large amount of bandwidth.

15gb might not be enough these days…the quality of the hub has gone down…

15 GB seems enough for me, as long as I don’t watch HD videos on Hulu all day. Gaming isn’t a problem since it doesn’t drain on the limit. But for some reason, NUBB seems inaccurate and unable to catch up to how much I’m using til this day. I know definitely that I had downloaded at least 2.5 GB in one day, but that hasn’t shown up yet.
Someone can easily go over the 15 GB limit without knowing an up to date count.

playhacker, you have XBL?

Can’t pay for XBL. So no.
