<p>Hmmm... still haven't received postcard, and I live in Dallas... Maybe I should call them. I had an internet glitch with the common app online and had to submit hard-copies... I don't think that it's terribly professional that they are leaving all of us in doubt after promising to meet the Jan 5 requirements deadline, but, oh well...</p>

<p>I got the email this afternoon too, about 6:15, hope that this is a good sign.... anyone have any "comments"? I had none, and I wouldn't expect that they have actually taken too hard a look at any of our applications yet.</p>

<p>Same here, but at least they've updated it. I'll bet that they'll take all the way until Feb 10 to notify us, because they're obiviously running behind.</p>
<p>I think it was mentioned in some other thread that last year, people received notification through the regular mail before Feb. 10.</p>

<p>i dont think they are running behind, they just put the thing up late.. i withdrew my application but it doesnt indicate that.. hopefully i'll be accepted anyway.. lol just an ego boost! (i deserve to know, i spent so much time on applications)</p>

<p>bsbllallstr, maybe you should call them to tell them you withdrew your application since it doesn't indicate that on the website. Why do you need an ego boost anyway? :p You must have gotten into a school early that you really wanted to get accepted to, so I don't see why you want to get a possible acceptance letter if you aren't going to go anyway. I don't remember which school you got accepted to, but if it's an ED school, don't they require that you withdraw your apps?</p>
<p>Duke, I wrote letters to all of the schools I applied to, and havent heard back from any of them, so i'll just assume they got my letters.</p>
<p>I applied to rice b/c i thought for sure i would be deferred by duke (engineering school is uber competitive, or was last year). I have relatives in houston, and i really like rice, probably would have depended fin. aid. but... i guess it wont matter now... im going to duke!! =)</p>

<p>do we get decisions BEFORE feb 10? cuz on their post card thingy it says "BY feb 10." does that imply that they'll start sending out decisions AS they're made or that they may send it all out at the same time but just a few days earlier?</p>

<p>I said above ^ that from what I heard last year, some people got decisions MAILED to them BEFORE February 10.</p>
