id do anything

The truth is though I won’t. I go to a ghetto school in Florida. I used to go to a really good school on Long Island, but then we moved. Although I can be top 5 students in t he class, no oppurtunities are offered to me to succeed. No volunteer clubs, no oppurtunities in my town, no business clubs in my school (which is what I want to be). On my school profile, 8% of students go to an out of state college. It’s sad. I honestly have no hope.

Hi, soccerstar! Don’t worry. Don’t say you’d do anything to go to boarding school either! That only sets you up for disappointment. Are there any good private schools around you?

Hehe…I’m from Fla. too!

Um the closest private school that is good is Miami Country Day, which is about 40 minutes from me. So I guess the answer to your question is, no.

A friend of mine goes to Hopkins School in New Haven, CT which is 45 minutes away from her house.
You have alternatives so putting all your eggs in this “boarding school basket” isn’t the only option.
Dont worry. I’m sure you’ll do great, great things.

hey soccerstar, i just had some family issues and im choosing boarding school because its the most stable path for my future
if i didn’t make it, i would not know where i would be next year as inevitably, my parents are going to divorce and i will be living with my mom. right now im in china because of my dad’s fuc*ed up job and how he got the whole family relocated here, but next year i definitely dont want to be in china..anyway, i dont think its too late and you should convince your parents with better future arguement and the most stable path leading to college because its true. it will be worth it if you get in..thats what im trying to get myself to think right now haha
