I'd like my son repeat 9th grader in another state

<p>First of all, does he approve? Was it your plan or his?</p>

<p>If your child transfers to another school, even out of state, the records will follow. When you enroll the student at the new school they will request the records. That is why they call it a permanent record.</p>

<p>Looking at post history (and the posts themselves), I think wastate is the child.</p>

<p>There are few things you can do as a 9th grader that can’t be overcome, OP, no matter how bad it seems.</p>

<p>If we are talking about college admission, the colleges our son applied to didn’t count 9th grade.</p>
