Hi All,
I honestly don't know where to apply...I think I'd prefer a mid sized to large college. I need scholarship $$$ to go out of Michigan. I hope you can take a look and give me your opinion :)

The one thing your profile makes me wonder is why a Ford model needs financial aid. I ask this with all due respect, but if you are listing this as a key activity I would think the readers would wonder this as I am.

I listed it, since I'm proud that I've been able to keep my GPA up with missing classes and travel, as an out of town model. However, in my senior year, I've not taken many jobs, since our new school rules state that my grades will be lowered if I miss more than 12 days. So, anyhow, suffice it to say, I'm not 'raking' in the jobs or money right now but focusing on apps and classes :)

Hmm. I would say in at most except Duke and Northwestern.

Med eh

go to UCLA, UCI, UCSD (in Cali)

John Hopkins med

chicago

etc.

there’s a lot of good med preparation schools

I don’t think Duke or an ivy will happen with your current stats. I’d work on the ACT, take a year off and achieve real success with Ford, and then apply. Colleges love the successful and famous, it’s a hook.

Since you’re thinking of where to apply, does this mean you’re a junior this year?

If you can get into Michigan, why go anywhere else? It’s as good or better than anywhere else on your list, and in-state it’s arguably the best bargain in the country. Seems like you’d have a decent shot, but no lock.

That said, don’t choose based on thinking you’ll be pre-med. Choose a place you’ll enjoy, that has lots of options. You can get into med school from just about anywhere. Your list is all over the map in more ways than one.

Agree with hmom5 that modeling would be an eye-catcher (no joke intended) in any essay.

Good luck!
