Hey I would love someone to give me their opinion on my chance at getting into Wharton at UPenn.

I probably go to the best school in my state. It is public and a magnet school and was even ranked on newsweeks top 100 best high schools. It is really competitive and has about 2000 kids in the whole school and about 500 in my graduating class.

3.92 GPA~~~ This places me in the top 10% of my class..... my school only says if your in the top 10%, 25% and 50%
2110 SAT
33 ACT

I've taken all AP and Honors Classes and have done very well
AP Scores:

AB Calc: 5
Macroeconomics: 5
Human Geography: 5
World History:4
U.S. History: 5
Psychology:5
Biology: 5

EC:
Tennis: 9-10
Lacrosse:11-12
Track: 11-12 ~~Captain
Ultimate Frisbee: 11-12 ~~captain
Chess Team: 9-12 ~~captain
FBLA: 9-12 ~~hold office
.... those are the main ones
I'm in a lot more clubs, I just dont think I've recieved a lot of awards in them to make them really count.

I have a bunch of awards that I'm not going to list but I have a few good ones.

My recs are really good. I'm really cool with my counselor and going to a school with 2000 kids, it's really hard to do that.

Something that makes me really special is that I have a U.S. patent to my name that I am in the process of endorsing and have been having quite a bit of success. I'm sure I will include this into my essays and I think I will do well on the other few as well.

what do you think my chances are?

P.S.!!!::: IF I ONLY SUBMIT MY ACT SCORE, DO I HAVE TO INCLUDE 2 SAT II SCORES???

I'd say right on the border. Lean toward acceptance for College; lean toward rejection for Wharton. Will probably tip based on your essays & interview.

Sorry, I've heard people say upenn so much that I am starting to do it to. Second, do you think it would help a lot more if I were to get my ACT scores higher (I'm not going to include my SAT scores)? I was hoping to get a 34 this time around.

Also, does anyone have any tips for the interview? The tips can range anywhere from what to wear to what they ask.

How did your interview go and were you accepted?

P.S. I am going to apply ED to wharton..... So don't I automatically have a better chance of getting in and does that help me at all or help me lean toward the accepted side?

from what i've learned, i must warn you that wharton is significantly harder to get into than the college of arts and sciences. i would guess off the top of my head that for wharton ed you have a 35% chance but maybe a 60% chance for college of arts and sciences.

I am only going to submit my ACT score and after taking a few practice tests and studying for a very long time, I believe I can get a 34 on the ACT. Do you think I have a realistic chance of getting accepted to Wharton? It has been my dream school for such a long time so it'd be really nice to know and maybe be able to save the 70 dollar application fee.

we can't tell you whether or not to save the 70 dollars cause we're not the admissions counselor at wharton (although my classmate's dad is). i'd suggest though, spend the 70 dollars if its your dream school cause the reward definitely outweighs the risk
