<p>If it gets the point across, and its not offensive, then its OK. By offensive, I mean that, while its accepted, its probably not a good idea to talk about, say, a drug addiction etc.</p>
<p>You don't need to be creative with UC essay. Just cut to the chase. Answer the prompt.</p>
<p>Is it a fact that we shouldn't be creative in UC essays? Wouldn't a creative essay separate an applicant from one that just states facts? Most of our activities and leadership will be apparent from the Activities/Awards section.</p>
<p>Save that for private colleges.</p>
