IDEA TO IDENTIFY CCer's at ADMIT WEEKEND

All right, so Friday at noon at the Old Union Fountain. Sounds great to me.

Looking forward to meeting you all in just over 2 weeks!

Awesome. I guess, as we approach Admit Weekend, we can each post what kind of clothes we'll be wearing or something like that.

The picnic sounds like a lot of fun. I'll bring the frisbee.

yeah absolutely. current frosh, we should help these guys plan a meeting. i know i tried planning a CC meeting (you can probably search the thread in the archives) last year and, er, it kinda flopped. maybe this year we can do better? then we can introduce ourselves!

the problem is, admit weekend is REALLY busy. really, really, really busy. I didn't find a free moment at all, and wasn't sleeping much. we'd have to pick, like, a time when everyone agrees to miss one event... can someone else check out the admit weekend schedule for tentative good timings?

Meeting at noon on Friday would only cause us to miss the picnic, which we could all go to together once we meet. There is also a campus tour during that time, but there are lots of them throughout the weekend. Sounds like a good time to me!

We could meet at 1:15, when they're having the Q&A session with John Hennessy.....I'm guessing of all people, CC'ers need it least.

So, what's the consensus here? Friday sounds pretty good.

Friday at noon at the Old Union Fountain sounds like the best time to meet.

Look for a tall Asian! :)

I was up at Stanford on Saturday, and Old Union is fenced off for construction. :( Sooooo...maybe in FRONT of Old Union by the Claw? (same date & time)

copy that, friday noon in front of old union! look for a rainbow-headed asian wearing a shirt with a rhinestone p enis!!

maybe we should have a big CC written on the back of our right hands? seems like there would be lots of random ppl chilling by the fountain on a friday...

I'm just praying I can find this location you guys are talking about, I being a South Carolinian who's not too familiar with the campus... I have a map, but I don't think that's going to help too much. It's going to be an interesting weekend trying to find everything, lol.

XRedcomet: I have no idea where it is, either. But I have faith in my mapreading/navigational skills. :)

Also, I like the CC written on hand idea!

Is this supposed to be for current frosh as well? Or just profros?

Friday. Noon. IN FRONT OF THE CLAW. lki and I will be running back and forth between the claw and old union.

Ooh I can be there at 12 if it's for non-ProFro types as well.

what happened? i was around for like 20 minutes but...didn't see anyone with rainbow colored hair....

I walked by and failed to find a group that looked like a bunch of CCers. Want to try to meet at some point tonight?

Same here. I went, but there were groups of profros everywhere, and I wasn't sure if anyone was from CC. So I went back to the library and ate with some new guys I met. I was kinda dissapointed. I did find serendipitously, however, sneakypete, because she was at the same dorm I was (J-Ro), which was cool.

BTW, Admit Weekend was beyond AWESOME. I'm just so tired... :)

Everything was amazing. Among many other things, I listened to a lecture Dr. Osheroff gave, I thought the A Cappella groups were phenomenal, the LSJUMB was great, and the people (especially the HoHos and RoHos) were fantastic. I couldn't write about everything I liked, because it would take up too much room. It was just... wow.

actually i found AW to be rather lame, with the dry rules and all...

...not really a good representation of what stanford will actually be like.

"I did find serendipitously, however, sneakypete, because she was at the same dorm I was (J-Ro), which was cool."

Ohhh...I was also in J-Ro. Who were you?
