ideal school?

All below offer solid general academics and dance options along with strong school spirit in/near cities or large college towns. Mich/USC/Vanderbilt would all seem "matches" given your posted credentials. Northwestern, a bit of a reach RD, more of a match ED.

Northwestern offers a strong dance program available as both a major and minor through the School of Communications

Michigan offers a major but no minor through the School of Music, Theater and Dance
<a href="http://www.music.umich.edu/departments/dance/%5B/url%5D">http://www.music.umich.edu/departments/dance/</a></p>

USC offers a minor through the School of Theater

Vanderbilt offers dance classes/performing groups but I am not aware of a minor or major
