So I am writing this supplemental essay for college application.

The prompt is:"Please share something about yourself that you have not addressed in your Common Application and which may not be revealed in a recommendation."

Well, if I were you I would reveal that I’m secretly a super hero and that Batman doesn’t have a damn thing on me.
But I don’t like to save people. I like to push them into wells and off of cliffs.

We don’t know you, so we can only say what we would talk about. I’d advice that you make it personal, as opposed to talking about something that may not apply to you.

Congratulations to the person above me though!:)

yeah. I have some ideas on my mind. But I don’t know if it will fit or not.

1st: talk about the decision I made around 8 years ago about not going to music school (I was admitted to the National Academy of Music in Vietnam for French horn).

2nd: my new interest in scuba diving.

I don’t know what should I reveal through this essay. Through my app, I show that I am a balance person. I do activities outside of classroom, etc.

The French horn stuff, if you must choose. Because your new interest in scuba diving is good, but it doesnt demonstrate your commitment for a long time (yet), so avoid writing it
BTW, what college are you applying to?

I stopped thinking about “what I wanted to reveal through my application” and started thinking about the aspects of myself that made for great essays.

So I have written an essay for this prompt. Can any of you guys take a look at my essay ? I really need some feedbacks since the deadline is drawing close

I feel like you’re expecting one of us (who are completely strangers) to miraculously come up with THE perfect essay topic for you. I’m sorry, but I don’t think that will happen. It’s hard enough to come up with a decent (decent, not perfect) essay about yourself. How could we come up with one about someone we don’t know?

Go with what you feel shows more about you. Go in the direction that your heart tugs you in. Or just write numerous essays and choose the one that comes out best. :)
