<p>I know Cornell provides you with an identification cards, but did you ever find a situation where you needed a state identification card or driver's license? If so, did you use your home state's or NY's?</p>
<p>Some concerts in Ithaca require you to be 18 or over, in which case it is nice to have a license or ID card.</p>
<p>yes if you plan on conducting business outside of campus it will be best if you bring a government issued ID…I was fine with my TEXAS DRIVERS LICENSE…needed this at the Target Pharmacy, Clinics/Offices Off-Campus and such…</p>
<p>a PASSPORT will also work just fine…but always carry your CORNELL ISSUED ID CARD, security guards are free to ask you for it!!</p>
<p>Your Cornell ID is a must anytime you’re on campus…you do everything with it: check out book/laptops from the library, go to dining halls, etc…</p>
<p>Your state ID is necessary if you need to make a purchase off campus that would require it…</p>
