so i was clubbing with my cousin and my brothers the other day and the topic of fake ID's came up and i found out that both my older brother and my cousin (24 and 36 respectively) got fake ID's during freshman year of college. i was wondering if it's necessary to get them (to go clubbing, etc.) at Northwestern or will school parties suffice?

Many partying Northwestern students will go until they are 21 not setting foot in any local bars. Certain establishments (well, just one) have a reputation for letting in very poor fake ids.
If you go Greek, there’ll be bar events that you might want an ID for as well. There isn’t a culture of freshmen/sophomores going out to Chicago bars like at, say, NYU. But with any initiative you can be a regular on Keg Mondays. And lots of people party alot just going to school parties.

I don’t recommend getting a fake ID. It’s a felony here, so if you get caught, you get in HUGE trouble. As suppasonic said, there are lots of parties that are just student-run where you can get alcohol.

thanks a lot guys. my older brother actually says i don’t really need to but my twin does (he’s going to nyu xD). i really don’t want to get one anyway since it seems like such a hassle.
