So, I have reached the part of the Common App where you have to identify your background. However, I have no idea if I should put Hispanic. I am 37.5 % Puerto Rican, but I really do not look Hispanic nor do I engage in Hispanic culture. I was thinking that I could put that I am Hispanic, but also say I identify as white and then under additional info I could put that my maternal grandfather was born in Puerto Rico. Does this sound like a good idea? Thanks.

Also I forgot to mention that my mother’s maiden name is Hispanic, but my last name is Polish.
