Identifying sentence errors and reading

These are the only two things that I really need to improve on. If I can just so well on both of these I could easily get an 1800, possibly a 2000. On the math I can breeze through, improving sentences I'm actually okay at and for sentence completions i've been getting better since my vocab has been increasing. I find identifying sentence errors and especially the reading hell. Anyone have any tips that are useful?

Sentence Error is basically easy for those who really master the English grammar, because mostly focus on tenses form, subject verb agreement, parallel construction, clauses, and pronouns.

Knock the sentence down to the simple subject and subject predicate.

For instance, in a sentence like this — In my spare time, I like running, swimming, to play tennis, and dancing — it is easy to see that one of the items (to play tennis) is not parallel with the other verb forms. However, in a more flavorful sentence with lots of phrases and clauses, it may not be so clear. So, it’s usually helpful to first find the simple subject and predicate and work from there.
