Identity politics at UCR

My friend Barabara is looking at UCR. She wants to do a combo of: African-American, Asian-American, Chicano Studies, plus the non-Christian religions (Judiasm, Islam, Hindi)), and Disability and Gay studies. She’s an able-bodied straight white woman. Would people look askance at her in these areas.

Her career goal: admissions rep for minority populations. To that end, she’d get a MA in Sociology. Her second choice for undergrad was Berkley. Is UCR to Berkley a realistic jump?
