I’m currently a sophomore at UC Davis and my major is Genetics and Genomics. I’m currently on a pre-med/pre-health track. I haven’t reached the upper div genetics courses to really know what the classes and subject matter is really like. I do find genetics interesting and I see myself working in the science field after college, but I honestly just have no clue what this subject field actually offers in the real world. Is anyone a Genetics major/graduate at any other colleges? What did you do with your degree?
Check out the American Society of Human Genetics website, there is a section on careers that list the types of positions that geneticists hold.
