IDOC (Instutional Documentation Service)

You should have received an email from College Board (CSS Profile) if any of your colleges require IDOC.

The email reads in part, "At least one of the colleges to which you are applying for financial aid asked the College Board, through IDOC to collect additional documents, such as tax returns, from you and yuour family."

Not all colleges require submission of extra materials for IDOC so check your colleges' websites (especially the colleges that required CSS Profile). Also check your old emails (will need the email to download the IDOC cover letter.)

IDOC is a method of submitting tax returns and W-2s. If that's the way one of your colleges wants that info submitted, then you must do it. At least it doesn't cost you anything (unlike the Profile).

thanks guys =)
