I just learned about the IDOC. The only school of mine that requires the IDOC is duke and I wont even know if I got in untill April 1st. Do I really have to do the IDOC before I know whether they've accepted me? It looks really complicated and work intensive, if it was really that important wouldn't Duke have emailed me about it?

I'd like to know this too

Yup. You have to do what they tell you to do. Why don't you believe them? IDOC is how many schools process your financial aid application. If you don't do it, you won't get it.

Do what the school is asking you to do. Schools that use IDOC are verifying that your finaid application is accurate BEFORE they give you an award on acceptance. GET IT DONE.
