I've looked through the whole IDOC website and noticed there's an extra worksheet called the Verification Worksheet (Dependent/Independent). I know that I'm an dependent student but I'm wondering do I need to fill it out still? My IDOC requirements never mention it so I'm unsure if I should fill it out or not (schools that require my IDOC are Stanford and Harvard if that helps). Also when it talks about how I as a student needs to file a Non-filer as I make no income it says: (you must submit a Non-tax Filer's Statement and supporting documentation.) What exactly do they mean by supporting documentation? I'm really confused....Thanks.

I think the verification worksheet is optional. If you make 0 income, you don’t need any supporting documentation.

Supporting documents would be if you had some reportable income, but were not required to file. For instance, you might work, or you might have had an interest bearing savings account where you get a 1099-int if you earned $10 or more in interest.
