Yes, puma, you snail mail them to IDOC, then IDOC scans them and submits then electronically to the colleges.

P.S. I have always just used regular mail, but many prefer doing another way with tracking or return receipt involved.

^There is no way to send electronically to IDOC.

Not throwing in the mail. At least priority mail should be used (this allows to track delivery confirmation). You can also use express mail with return receipt for next day delivery.

Gibby, I work in an accountant’s office and I deal with a lot of tax documents. Yes, it is true the SSNs are already on the documents, but these things come in more sizes, shapes, layouts, and font sizes, than you can imagine, as well as many that are gray-on-gray. The SSNs are not in the same place on all the forms and sometimes if there’s fold in the wrong place, you can barely read them.

Mulitply that by thousands and thousands of the things… and I can easily see why IDOC would love it if you would simply just write the document owner’s SSN in the upper right hand corner to help them make this process more efficient.

If you don’t, or if you write the wrong number, it’ll be okay. It just makes more work for the people dealing with it along the way.

I tried to log in the Idoc.

But I don’t have the Idoc ID. Also, when I tried to enter my SSN, there was an error message pop up: … not match…

Nobody pick up the phone and return my e-mail.

I have to keep calling them after this holiday.

Thank you.
