What is the deadline for the IDOC? Is it March 2nd as stated by collegeboard or the Aprial deadlines set by the universities of which I applied too.

Also, if it's the March deadline, how do you parents fill it out the 2009 tax forms so fast? My parents said something about only having a week or so to do the forms because nto all of the tax documents will arrive early enough.

Basically, can you guys help out this student here? I'm an international, so I actually know the most about these things than my parents.

BUMP

Basically, I’m wondering if I should follow the Collegeboard March 2nd deadline for submitting tax documents or the university’s deadline, such as April 1?

Also, is this electronic or do I need to mail things to IODC?

You can call the school and ask them about the differing dates, but March 2nd is a good ways off. Unless there’s a reason you can’t do it by then, why not just get it done by that deadline?

For IDOC you will receive an email with a link to your cover letter. You print out the cover letter and follow the instructions precisely. It will tell you what to do, but that will include making physical, paper copies of all the tax and income documents they require (the list of what that is will be in the cover letter), and sending those paper copies to the address given. IDOC does the scanning, and it will submit your documents electronically to the schools you’ve selected.

^ ^ 'rentof2, did you find the IDOC access glitchy?

I’ll answer that I did not find any glitches, I had no problems at all. ???

AnnuduhMom, I have’t even begun my CSS Profile yet. But this is one of the benefits of having a continuing student rather than a new freshman admit. The deadlines are so much later! ;)

I was concerned about the March deadline because my parents said that not all of the tax documents will arrive until late February and they would only have a few days to do their 2009 taxes, which would be really stressful.

But anyway, thanks a lot for the input. I greatly appreciate it.
