If a college requires all scores, but only the SAT I or ACT + Writing, do I need to send both the SAT and ACT if I've taken both, or just all scores for the one that I want to send?

Post a link to the testing policy in question.

For example, Stanford. For some reason I can’t connect to Stanford’s website right now, otherwise I’d post a link.

call admissions office and ask if in doubt - better than guessing wrong

[Testing : Stanford University](http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/freshman/testing.html)

This is why I asked for the link, I find when asking about testing, posters often selectively cite policies. The sentences in bold make it quite clear that ALL testing must be sent.

Oh. My. God. I cannot believe I didn’t see that. I listed Stanford as an example because it was the first one that came to mind. I applied to Stanford early action, and they said that they received all of my scores, so I mistakenly thought that I was in the clear. :(

What happens now, will my application be rejected or deferred to RD? I am definitely going to call tomorrow…

Here’s bits from the email that I received when I requested to “Check Application Status” on their website:

“If there are no items listed under “Credentials Not Yet Processed,” we have everything we need in order to evaluate your application. We do not track materials that are not required, so we will not be able to give you the status of any optional items sent.”

"Credentials Processed:

Call them and ask, the sooner the better.

Usually, unless the school specifies both, you can go with either the SAT or the ACT w/writing. Or you can always send both.
